By accessing the Service, creating an account, creating or joining a meeting (whether as a registered user or guest), or by using the mobile application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Description of Service
VideoCall.cc provides a browser-based video meeting platform with the following core features:
- Instant Rooms — create a meeting and receive a shareable link or room code immediately, with no software download required.
- Guest Access — create or join meetings without a registered account by providing a display name.
- Registered Accounts — a dashboard for creating, scheduling, sharing, and managing meetings; meeting history; and profile management.
- Scheduled Meetings — meetings can be set for a future time with a defined duration. They open at the scheduled time and close automatically after the scheduled end plus a grace period.
- Sharing — every meeting can be shared via link, copyable ID, QR code, email, guest link, or the device's native share sheet.
- Real-Time Communication — video, audio, screen sharing, and in-call chat are delivered via Community Jitsi Servers (see Section 7).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with or without notice, subject to Section 17.
Accounts & Registration
4.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create a VideoCall.cc account. We do not currently operate an age verification mechanism. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must obtain parental or guardian consent.
4.2 Account Creation
To register, you must provide your first name, last name, a valid email address, and a password. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. The email address you provide will be used as your account identifier and is stored in lowercase.
4.3 Account Security
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
We store passwords as bcrypt hashes and never retain your plaintext password. You must choose a strong password and must not share your credentials. We will never ask for your password in an email or support communication.
4.4 One Account Per Person
Each email address may be associated with one VideoCall.cc account. Registering multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, abuse the Service, or for deceptive purposes is prohibited.
4.5 Authentication Tokens
Upon login, you receive a JSON Web Token (JWT) that expires after 24 hours. This token is stored in your browser's localStorage and used to authenticate API requests. You are responsible for the security of devices on which your token is stored.
Guest Access
VideoCall.cc permits use of the Service without creating an account. Guests may create or join meetings by providing a display name (and, optionally, an email address). By using the Service as a guest, you agree to these Terms in full.
Guest capabilities include:
- Creating a meeting room and receiving a guest meeting token (24-hour expiry).
- Joining an existing meeting via a shared link, meeting code, or QR code.
- Participating in video, audio, and in-call chat through the embedded Jitsi room.
- Ending a meeting (if the guest is the meeting creator).
Guests do not have access to: a personal dashboard, meeting history, meeting scheduling, or profile management. These features require a registered account.
Guest display names and optional email addresses are stored on the meeting record. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Meetings & Content
6.1 Meeting Creation
When you create a meeting, you become the Meeting Creator and moderator of that meeting. You are responsible for:
- All content shared within the meeting, including decisions about who is invited.
- Setting an appropriate meeting title, description, and optional password.
- Ending the meeting when appropriate (using the End control in the room).
6.2 Meeting Passwords
Meetings may be protected with an optional password chosen by the creator. Meeting passwords are stored as part of the meeting record. The password is returned only to the meeting creator via the API — it is never exposed to other participants or guests. You must not share meeting passwords with unauthorised parties.
6.3 Meeting Lifecycle
A meeting may be ended by:
- The meeting creator manually ending it from the room controls.
- Automatic closure after approximately 3 minutes of inactivity (no heartbeat signals received).
- Automatic closure at the scheduled end time (start time + duration + grace period) for scheduled meetings.
After a meeting ends, its metadata persists in the system as a historical record visible to the creator.
6.4 Scheduled Meetings
Scheduled meetings open at the specified start time and display a countdown timer to participants who arrive early. They auto-close after the scheduled end. VideoCall.cc is not responsible if technical issues prevent a meeting from opening or closing at its scheduled time.
6.5 Community Jitsi Server Assignment
At meeting creation, your meeting is assigned to a Community Jitsi Server from our curated pool. If that server becomes unreachable, your meeting may be migrated (failed over) to another healthy server. You acknowledge that the quality and availability of real-time communication depends on the Community Jitsi Server and your network conditions.
6.6 Participant Visibility
Your display name (and, for registered users, profile information visible in the room) is visible to all other meeting participants. Meeting participant lists are accessible to the meeting creator.
Community Jitsi Servers
By using a meeting room, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your real-time meeting communications are processed by third-party Community Jitsi Servers, not by VideoCall.cc.
- The privacy practices, data processing, and terms of service of those Community Jitsi Servers govern the processing of your Meeting Content.
- VideoCall.cc does not record, store, monitor, or have access to your Meeting Content.
- VideoCall.cc does not guarantee the uptime, performance, security, or privacy practices of any Community Jitsi Server.
- If a Community Jitsi Server experiences an outage or security incident, VideoCall.cc bears no responsibility for the consequences.
- Failover to a different Community Jitsi Server may occur during a meeting if the assigned server becomes unreachable.
VideoCall.cc maintains a curated pool of Community Jitsi Servers and performs health checks, but inclusion in our pool does not constitute endorsement of or warranty regarding those servers' practices.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Service for any of the following purposes:
- Conducting, facilitating, or participating in any unlawful, illegal, or fraudulent activity in any jurisdiction.
- Transmitting, distributing, or sharing content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers minors.
- Harassing, threatening, bullying, stalking, or intimidating any individual or group.
- Impersonating any person, organisation, or entity, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation.
- Uploading, transmitting, or linking to malware, viruses, ransomware, or any code designed to interrupt, damage, or unauthorisedly access systems or data.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, any account, or any backend system.
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Service using automated means without our express written permission.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, its infrastructure, servers, or networks, including denial-of-service attacks.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or commercially exploiting any feature of the Service without our express written permission.
- Circumventing security measures, including attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Using the Service to spam, phish, or distribute unsolicited commercial messages.
- Violating the intellectual property rights of any third party, including by sharing copyrighted content without permission.
- Using the Service in a manner that violates the terms or acceptable use policies of any Community Jitsi Server.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions, suspensions, or bans.
- Recording, intercepting, or capturing meeting communications without the knowledge and consent of all participants (where required by law).
- Using the Service for any purpose that would expose VideoCall.cc to legal liability or reputational harm.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Intellectual Property
9.1 VideoCall.cc Ownership
The Service, including its design, source code, interface, branding, logos, trademarks, and all content created by VideoCall.cc, is the exclusive property of VideoCall.cc and its licensors. These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in or to the Service or VideoCall.cc's intellectual property beyond the limited licence described in Section 9.2.
9.2 Licence to Use the Service
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, VideoCall.cc grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. This licence does not permit you to:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Service.
- Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or commercially exploit the Service.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Service.
- Use VideoCall.cc's name, logo, or trademarks without prior written consent.
9.3 Open-Source Components
The Service is built using Next.js, React, Bootstrap, and other open-source components. Community Jitsi servers run open-source Jitsi Meet software. These components are governed by their respective open-source licences, which are unaffected by these Terms.
User Content
10.1 Your Content, Your Responsibility
You retain ownership of any Content you submit to the Service (meeting titles, descriptions, profile information, uploaded images). You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of all Content you submit.
10.2 Licence to VideoCall.cc
By submitting Content to the Service, you grant VideoCall.cc a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process that Content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the Service. This licence ends when you delete the Content or close your account, except where retention is required by law or these Terms.
10.3 Profile Images
10.4 Meeting Content
Real-time Meeting Content (audio, video, screen share, in-call chat) transmitted during a meeting is processed by Community Jitsi Servers and is not received or stored by VideoCall.cc. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you share during a meeting complies with applicable law and does not infringe third-party rights.
10.5 Content Standards
All Content you submit must not:
- Be false, misleading, or deceptive.
- Infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right.
- Violate any person's privacy rights, including by sharing personal information without consent.
- Contain sexually explicit, obscene, or harmful material.
- Promote discrimination, violence, or hatred.
10.6 Content Removal
VideoCall.cc reserves the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful, illegal, or otherwise objectionable, without prior notice and without liability.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Key points to understand:
- We store meeting metadata but not meeting audio, video, chat, or screen-share content.
- Real-time media is processed by Community Jitsi Servers, which have their own privacy practices.
- Profile images are publicly accessible by URL.
- Your IP address is shared with Google's CDN when loading web fonts on the web application.
- The mobile application may include advertising configured per region.
Account Deletion & Termination
12.1 Voluntary Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your VideoCall.cc account at any time by submitting a request at /account/delete-account. Deletion requests are reviewed by a VideoCall.cc administrator. Upon approval:
- Your account is soft-deleted — login is disabled, but the underlying record may be retained in the database.
- For complete erasure of your personal data (hard deletion), you must contact us directly by email as described in Section 20.
- Meeting metadata associated with your account, and guest records on meetings you attended, may persist in our records after account deletion.
12.2 Termination by VideoCall.cc
VideoCall.cc may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time and without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have:
- Violated these Terms;
- Engaged in conduct harmful to other users, third parties, or VideoCall.cc;
- Provided false registration information;
- Failed to pay any applicable fees (if introduced in the future);
- Engaged in any activity that exposes VideoCall.cc to legal risk or liability.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination or account deletion:
- Your right to access the Service immediately ceases.
- We may, but are not obligated to, delete your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9, 13, 14, 15, and 18) remain in effect.
12.4 Guest Sessions
Guest meeting tokens expire after 24 hours. Guests do not have persistent accounts and are not subject to account termination; however, guests may be removed from individual meetings by the meeting creator, and access may be blocked at our discretion.
Disclaimers
In particular, VideoCall.cc makes no warranties or representations regarding:
- Availability — the Service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
- Community Jitsi Server performance — we do not warrant the uptime, quality, security, or continuity of any Community Jitsi Server. Meeting quality (video resolution, audio clarity, latency) depends on factors outside our control, including your network, device, and the third-party server.
- Data security — while we implement reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored in our systems.
- Accuracy — we do not warrant that any information provided through the Service is accurate, complete, or current.
- Uninterrupted access — access to the Service may be suspended or restricted at any time for maintenance, upgrades, or security purposes.
- Meeting recording by others — we do not control whether meeting participants use third-party software to record meetings at their own device level.
Limitation of Liability
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if VideoCall.cc has been advised of the possibility of such damages, including but not limited to:
- Your inability to access or use the Service.
- Any conduct or content of other users, guests, or third parties using the Service.

- Unauthorised access to, or alteration of, your meeting metadata, account data, or communications.
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in any content provided through the Service.
- Loss of meeting data resulting from meeting auto-closure, server failover, or technical failure.
- Any third-party recording of your meeting content without your consent.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VideoCall.cc and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Any Content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service;
- Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights;
- Your participation in or hosting of any meeting through the Service.
VideoCall.cc reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you. You agree to cooperate fully with VideoCall.cc in asserting any available defences.
Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources. VideoCall.cc provides these links as a convenience and does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. You access third-party resources at your own risk and subject to the terms of those third parties.
Specific third-party relationships relevant to your use of the Service include:
- Community Jitsi Servers — process your real-time meeting media and are governed by their respective operators' terms and privacy policies.
- MongoDB Atlas — hosts our database; governed by MongoDB's data processing agreement.
- Google Fonts — delivers web fonts; your IP address is processed by Google's CDN subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Modifications to Service or Terms
17.1 Changes to the Service
VideoCall.cc reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any feature or aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice to you. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
17.2 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The current version and effective date are displayed at the top of this page. The authoritative version of these Terms is stored in our database and rendered at /legal/terms.
For material changes — such as changes that significantly affect your rights, introduce new obligations, or limit our liability in new ways — we will provide advance notice by:
- Displaying a prominent notice in the Service (e.g., a dashboard banner for registered users); and/or
- Sending an email notification to registered account holders at the email address on file.
For non-material changes (typographical corrections, clarifications, or changes required by law), we may update the Terms without prior notice.
Continued use of the Service after any change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion per Section 12.
Governing Law & Disputes
18.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Where you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections afforded by the law of your country of residence. 19.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and VideoCall.cc regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings.
19.3 No Waiver
Failure by VideoCall.cc to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of VideoCall.cc.
19.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. VideoCall.cc may freely assign its rights and obligations, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, and will provide notice of any such assignment.
